Cabaret Auditions

Welcome to the infamous Kit Kat Klub, where the Emcee, Sally Bowles and a raucous ensemble take the stage nightly to tantalize the crowd—and to leave their troubles outside. But as life in pre-WWII Germany grows more and more uncertain, will the decadent allure of Berlin nightlife be enough to get them through their dangerous times? The musical Cabaret features some of the most memorable songs in theatre history, including “Cabaret,” “Willkommen,” and “Maybe This Time.” Leave your troubles outside—life is beautiful at Cabaret!

Thurs - November 8th at 8pm
Fri - November 9th at 8pm
Sat. - November 10th at 2pm

AUDITION DATES:

- Wed. September 5th from 7:00pm-11:00pm

at the (LSC) Livingston Student Center (Room 109)

- Thurs. September 6th from 7:00pm-11:00pm

at the (DSC) Douglass Student Center
 

**If attending auditions at the Livingston Student Center, please approach the Stage Manager outside rm 109 to sign in and fill out an audition form. 

**If attending auditions at the Douglass Student Center please approach the Stage Manager at the registration table on the first floor (across from the Dunkin Donuts) to sign in and fill out an audition form.

Not a singer? No worries! We will be having an open dance call Sunday September 9th. You do not need to attend auditions to attend the open dance call. If you auditions but do NOT receive a callback you are still welcome to attend the open dance call! 

CALLBACKS: (invite only):

Things to Bring/Prepare:
-16-32 measures of a musical theatre or pop song to be sung a cappella
-Your schedule/list of conflicts up until November 11th
-Your RUID number

Don't have a way to make it to auditions? Don't worry! We will be accepting video submissions sent to jenndars@ruLTC.org AND megan@rultc.org (make sure you send your videos to BOTH email addresses)!

All video submissions must include all of the previously mentioned information and, of course, your video! Video submissions are due no later than 11:00pm on Thursday, September 6th.

This audition is open to current undergrad Rutgers students AND incoming freshmen/transfer students! No prior experience is necessary.
